Pyramids of Life

CSERGE at the SeaFest

Earlier in August, Ellen McHarg (postgraduate researcher in the School of Environmental Sciences, Critical Decade for Climate Change Leverhulme programme) and Laura Bailey (UG student in the School of Environmental Sciences and intern in CSERGE) joined the Ocean Conservation Trust at the SeaFest, an annual seafood festival based in Plymouth, to present research on sustainable seafood consumption undertaken within the Pyramids of Life Project.

The interactive stand - run in collaboration with members of the Ocean Conservation Trust - offered an opportunity for the team to present the findings on existing sustainable seafood guidance within the South West region. Through the use of interactive games, infographics and surveys, the team were able to engage in discussions with the public and gain insight into current levels of sustainability awareness in the region. The festival also provided an opportunity to further exposure for the Pyramids of Life Project project, helping towards its aim to empower consumer decisions.
